The animated feature race is already getting crowded, with Finding Dory ($485 million – making the 7th highest grossing film of all time domestically), Zootopia, The Red Turtle, Kubo and the Strings. We don’t know what the music branch will make of Hamilton’s brilliant writer helping the songs for Moana but I suspect it will be a force to reckoned with in the best song category, at the very least.
