Oprah Winfrey and Ava DuVernay in Timely Political Discussion Following Screening of Netflix’s 13th

Today, Director Ava DuVernay was joined by Oprah Winfrey in conversation, following a screening of DuVernay’s feature documentary film 13th for activists, community organizers and the entertainment industry at the Museum of Tolerance today. Attendees included: Rabbi Marvin Hier, the dean and founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and Museum of Tolerance, who introduced the film; Shaka Senghor (who appears in the film); Dream Corps; Center for Media and Justice; Color of Change; Susan Burton of A New Way of Life; Young Voices; and Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors.
