‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Takes Over Melrose Place With Shimmery Emmys FYC Event

RuPaul’s Drag Race took over Melrose Avenue in Hollywood last night with the most glitziest reception to celebrate its costumes. For the third year in a row, costumes have been on display at LASC on Santa Monica Blvd, but this year, the exhibition space moved to Melrose Avenue.

Emmy-winner Zaldy is the man responsible for creating the outfits told me he had been working with RuPaul ever since her supermodel days. The Connecticut born designer said he sources his fabrics, beads and sequins right here in the USA. With Season 10’s finale right around the corner, Zaldy told me he had already done the gowns for this season and had moved on to the next season.

RuPaul was joined by fellow judge Michelle Visage and Asia O’Hara, Aquaria, Eureka O’Hara, Kameron Michaels, Miz Cracker, Monet X Change and The Vixen.

The gowns from this season were on display for all to see at 8382 Melrose Avenue and will be open through the month of June. Head down and take in the boas, the sequins, the glitz and glamor of RuPaul’s Drag Race and its to die for gowns.
