Final Analysis – Box Office, Rotten Tomatoes and Audience Rating

The critics now are different from how they used to be. For whatever reason, the critics often fall into groupthink as much as any other group. The internet bubble of film twitter reflects one way of seeing a movie, but the audience rating, this year in particular, shows a massive disconnect. I find that to be among the most fascinating aspects of this year. What accounts for such a disconnect? Twitter? Do the hot takes on Twitter eventually shape how critics write up the films they see? Hard to say.
