What do we think of this? I have to say the thing that really caught my eye is how the background blur of shifting lights (at :30, 1:25, 1:45, and 2:15) kept trying to turn into a preview from Focus Features. I never got far enough along in this novel to realize the emphasis was so… un-science-fictiony. Is it all about the romance? Nothing futuristic at all? Can someone who’s read the novel give me more to look forward to than a double-feature rental with The Astronaut’s Wife?
