If there was one movie I’d personally want to see at the Toronto Film Fest it would be the World Premiere of Thom Zimny’s The Promise: Darkness on the Edge of Town, which will showcase exclusive footage of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band shot in the mid-1970s and will unveil creative process behind the band’s fourth, and BEST, album.
Also on the slate for docs at TIFF are Errol Morris’ Tabloid, Werner Herzog’s Herzog‚Äôs 3D doc, Charles Ferguson’s brilliant Inside Job,¬†The Cave of Forgotten Dreams,¬†and Alex Gibney’s The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer.
