Clooney, Heslov – The Ides of March

Set pics have emerged for the SAG ensemble-friendly new Clooney pic (he directs and co-writes with Grant Heslov — Good Night, Good Luck collab) at ComingSoon (taken from the Oxford Press, Ohio). It is based on a play by Beau Willimon.

It follows a press spokesperson, played by [Ryan] Gosling, who is manipulated by veteran operatives during a US political campaign, and seduced by a young intern, played by Evan Rachel Wood.

Clooney will also star in the film, as candidate running in the presidential primary race, while Paul Giamatti will play a rival campaign manager.
