It was a weekend of campaigning in Hollywood to coincide with the Annual Governors Awards on November 14. Lionsgate hosted a breakfast brunch at the British Consulate honoring Sir Ian McKellen. Patrick Stewart, Laura Linney and Kathy Bates were among the guests attending, as McKellen hits the Oscar trail.

Later that evening, Open Road hosted a holiday party at Spaghettini in Beverly Hills for Spotlight. Director Tom McCarthy, Writer Josh Singer, and Michael Keaton mingled with the crowd.
Since its debut at the Venice Film Festival, the Tom McCarthy film about a team of investigative journalists efforts to uncover abuse within the Catholic Church has been leading the Oscar Charge.
