It’s that most wonderful time of the year, Oscar watchers — the marathon gauntlet of critics groups and other film organizations handing out their year-end accolades begins this week. And kicking it all off once again is that somewhat shadowy NY-based group of cinema academics and enthusiasts, the National Board of Review, who announce on Tuesday.

You can read our in-depth preview of what may be at play with the NBR this year here. To review, these are our predictions:

Best Picture
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri — Clarence Moye, Marshall Flores
Dunkirk — Sasha Stone
Lady Bird — Jazz Tangcay
Call Me by Your Name — Ryan Adams

Best Director
Christopher Nolan, Dunkirk — Stone, Moye, Flores, Tangcay
Guillermo Del Toro, The Shape of Water — Adams

Best Actor
Gary Oldman, Darkest Hour — Stone, Flores, Moye, Tangcay
Timothee Chalamet, Call Me by Your Name — Adams

Best Actress
Sally Hawkins, The Shape of Water — Stone, Adams, Flores
Saoirse Ronan, Lady Bird — Moye

Supporting Actor
Willem Dafoe, The Florida Project – Moye, Tangcay, Adams
Sam Rockwell, Three Billboards – Stone, Flores

But we’re more interested in how you think the NBR will go down. As such, I’m happy to announce Awards Daily’s first prediction contest of the year! The winners will of course receive a prize (to be determined) and be lauded for their efforts.

Best of luck! Do share your predictions in the comments. (And please let us know ASAP if there are any problems with the contest form.)
