Gold Derby’s Kevin Jacobsen joins us to talk about one of his favorite movies, Edward Scissorhands. Plus, we dive into the latest Disney+ news fresh from D23.

This week, Gold Derby contributor Kevin Jacobsen joins us on the August edition of Our Favorite Movies. Tim Burton’s 1990 film Edward Scissorhands is is follow up to the then-blockbuster Batman. A fairy tale hybrid of the Frankenstein myth and Beauty and the Beast, Edward Scissorhands is called Burton’s most personal film. We’ll talk about why it’s so personal to Burton and its fantastic set design. Also, what about it makes it one of Kevin’s favorite movies.

But first, we’ll take a look at Disney+, the upcoming offering from Disney complete with an incredible amount of new content. All for the low, low price of $6.99 per month.

We close our podcast, as always, with the Flash Forward to the media we’re most anticipating in the upcoming week.

Thanks for listening and thank you, in advance, for subscribing and rating us on Apple Podcasts!
