We’re in the midst of the 2020 Emmy Phase 2 voting window, and frankly, we’re a little tired. So, this week, we’re just laying low and catching up on a potpourri of topics. First up, since it’s the midst of Phase 2, we’re offering up suggestions to voting members of the Television Academy. We offer things they need to catch up on before they vote. Next up, we talk about our reactions to the all virtual Democratic National Convention. Did the quarantined event work for us? What did we love? What did we long for? Did we even watch it? Finally, we jump into HBO’s latest drama series Lovecraft Country. Does the Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrams social justice/horror mashup work for us? What aspects of the series can we count on for the 2021 Emmy season? Yes, we know. It’s ridiculously early.
