An Answer to a Delusional, Rude Comment

An Answer to a Delusional, Rude Comment

Let me start with this. I write controversial pieces and, in general, leave the comments alone where they routinely savage me. This has gone on for years and years, even before politics. As anyone who follows me on Twitter knows I was the target of angry swarms for a variety of reasons, the biggest reason is that I say things other people don’t and won’t and CAN’T say.

The difference between me and almost everyone on the Left is that, after ten years of attacks, I still do not stand down and I do not show fear. I have always gone on with my life knowing that these people don’t really know ME. They are reacting to the avatar of me online and the one they’ve invented in their own minds. Whatever form that takes changes depending on what defines them.

Right now, people on the Left have decided that we live in an oppressor/oppressed world and that your protection and worth is defined by things like skin color and gender identity. If you are considered “marginalized” and you comply with their strict doctrine, they’ll leave you alone. If you dare to express your opinion, they will attack you with every weapon they have at their disposal. They will accuse you of everything they can to hurt you. In the old days it was “fat, ugly and old.” Every so often those insults still come out, but for the most part, their insults are oppressor/oppressed based. I am a white woman and non-compliant and push back and voted for Trump — in all of the ways they define enemies of their utopia, I am it.

And that brings me to this comment, which Jeremy kindly offered to delete and I said, no, I’ll answer it because it so absurd it’s worth discussing.

6 people liked this, which is typical of the hellhole that is the comment section of this site, which is why I don’t read the comments and I try to allow them the freedom to express themselves. I know that I invite attacks by what I write so I try to have some measure of tolerance by ignoring them. But since this was put in my face, let’s go through this One Battle After Another fanboy’s extreme, melodramatic, whiny reaction to my post — like bro, if you can’t make your arguments without personal insults you’ve lost. But let’s go through it:

  1. The “extreme Right” holds all of the power. WRONG. Imagine I am saying that in the voice of Gene Wilder in Willy Wonka. WRONG. He is in power because millions of people voted for him. He has no instiutional power, no cultural power, no power in the media, no power to destroy someone’s career like mine just because of how they voted. You forget that YOUR SIDE has the power to cancel and unperson and disappear anyone whom they deem a “witch.” Trump’s power had to be taken after four years of the Left losing its mind — and the American people. I’m sorry your empire is crumbling but it’s entirely your own fault.
  2. “Comfortably on your parent’s property” or my mom’s property or whatever ugly stalker-y thing you wanted to broadcast to the psychos in the comment section is a choice…but it is not true. I am renting a small guest unit in a property my mother owns but I pay rent. I moved here before my income was wiped out BY YOUR SIDE, the totalitarians on YOUR SIDE. I have put my blood, sweat and tears into this site for 26 years you dumb fuck. I was a janitor cleaning the shit off of walls before I started making money. I am living here because I can’t afford to live anywhere else after my income was essentially stripped. I didn’t move here for that reason. I moved here because my mother is infirm and me and my sisters have to take turns taking care of her. So there, you immature little creep. You made me say something that I should not have had to say. But there it is.
  3. True those who spoke out against a “genocide” — which actually means they were pro-Hamas — were threatened to be deported, meaning, their VISAS given to them by the United States would be revoked. I don’t agree with that but that is one tiny example compared to what the Biden admin did during his term — censoring social media, banning people for doubting masks, etc. But more than that, your side WITH ALL OF THE CULTURAL POWER has everyone terrified to say one wrong word lest their entire lives be destroyed. Are you really going to pretend that never happened?? I want to also say Israel fought back after a horrific act of war on October 7th. If you in your sad little whiny bubble want to call it a genocide that is your right but you’re a fool who does not understand that no one starts a war or fights a war to lose.
  4. I am not mad that Owen didn’t mention me. I am grateful. That’s the last thing I need. I am happy he didn’t do it. Genocide again. Boy oh boy. “Kicking people off their health insurance” is a cause worth fighting for if only you folks weren’t ABSOLUTELY INSANE maybe you could mount a proper offense and, you know, WIN A FUCKING ELECTION. Then maybe you could help with that. Why screech about Hitler and genocide and racism and fascism if all you want to do is talk health insurance? You defeat your own purpose.
  5. Your idea that I’m mad about the industry, and losing my income, and hating my life is like stalker-level of bizarre fake psychology about someone you do not know. All of that might be true but it does not compare to what happened to me when American film, and all art, was swallowed up by DOGMA and woke gobbledegook. That is what I am mad about. The truth is I can’t stand weak minded people like you. All of you should not be afraid to say what has happened — that Paul Thomas Anderson has fully embraced to pander to all of you. What I had in my life was movies. I always had them to turn to when life was hard. I don’t anymore. They mostly all suck. You have to watch them knowing they will all suck because the woke has Hollywood by the balls — you do One Battle fanboy. Your balls are also in a vice and you do not think for yourself. All you can do is try to shut me up. In Hannah and her Sisters, Woody Allen is trying to find some sort of spirituality. He ends up in the movie theater watching the Marx brothers. THAT Is what used to define my life. I am mad that that level of art no longer exists and that we’re stuck in this eternal oppressor/oppressed woke mindset — something Owen Gleiberman knows but can’t say. Why can’t he say it? Because a mob will form on Twitter and he will get fired for saying it. That is what the Left is now.

So yeah go ahead and call me a bitter old woman freeloading on my mom’s property or whatever the fuck you want. To tell you the truth, I do not give a shit. I am answering this comment because it was put in front of me. Otherwise I don’t care what any of you think because I know you are too afraid to speak the truth. What you have written to me isn’t a defense of any argument. It’s merely a personal attack, yet another.

And by the way, because you all live in a fantasy dystopian bubble you don’t read “right wing” writers but you should. Learn a thing or two. If you want to hear a better deconstruction of Owen’s piece, read John Nolte in Breitbart. You won’t but you should. He is on the outside of your little tiny bubble — like all of us who dared to defy the Ordnung. All of those people who liked that comment, and you too fanboy, should not be reading this site. You are better suited to the many movie sites out there that pander to your groupthink. This is not one of them.

Yes, you have all of the cultural power. You are part of the ruling class. You can’t stand it that the peasants voted you out. The industry will never allow the peasants in unless they are compliant and obedient like you, brah. I hold onto this site so I can keep the tiny bit of voice I built over the decades. I know all of you would like me gone — maybe you’ll get your wish next year. I don’t know. I haven’t decided. But one reason I do not want to walk away is because of people like you.

Recently, I posted this on my socials because I think it helps describe where the Left is now (they have silenced dissent and speech via their raging, fanatical mobs).  Maybe it will create a tiny crack in your conformist’s brain.
