You’ll remember the two versions of the controversial poster for Korean vampire thriller Thirst we featured in April. One more modest, and the other with its legs in the air. We ran the original trailer too, edgy but subdued. Now, thanks to Brad Brevett at First Showing, we have the ballsier red band cut of the trailer (with the age verification conveniently removed). Thirst opens in limited release July 31st, with this wicked premise:
A beloved and devoted priest (Song Kang-ho) from a small town volunteers for a medical experiment which fails and turns him into a vampire. Physical and psychological changes lead to his affair with a wife of his childhood friend who is repressed and tired of her mundane life. The one-time priest falls deeper in despair and depravity. As things turns for worse, he struggles to maintain whats left of his humanity.
