Awards Daily Exclusive: Loving Featurette – Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga

Awards Daily has two exclusive featurettes courtesy of Focus Features for Loving. Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga talk about playing Richard and Mildred Loving, the interracial couple who met, fell in love, and married. The couple were eventually sent to jail for their union which was ruled invalid before they left Virginia for the Nation’s capital.
The couple’s case went to the Supreme Court and in 1967, the court ruled that state bans on interracial marriage were unconstitutional.
