It’s incredible that Before the Flood has been watched by 60 million people. That’s astonishing, really, considering so many are just tuning out the fast warming climate. And now that Trump is in charge he has promised to end Paris climate talks, which will make the US the worst and biggest cause of climate change that refuses to do anything about it. We’re even being lectured by China now. China. At least they acknowledge it’s real, as do most other countries. Only America is now stuck in the dark ages.

National Geographic’s “Before the Flood,” produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, has reached more than 60 million people worldwide and surpassed a record-setting one billion minutes viewed across linear, digital, streaming and social platforms — making it arguably one of the most watched documentaries in history and the most watched NatGeo film ever.
The climate-change documentary is directed by Fisher Stevens and is a look at the Earth’s future if we continue to ignore the global warming warnings. In the documentary, DiCaprio is seen traveling all over the world, speaking in front of the U.N. about environmental issues and meeting with influential people like Pope Francis, President Barack Obama and Elon Musk about the importance of protecting the planet for future generations.
The documentary race is already crowded, and we know that the highest profile films have an equal chance as the unseen ones to get in. It would do the world good if this one could get selected, however, to continue to bring more awareness to the very dangerous position we now find ourselves in. Before the Flood is easily accessible and watched online.
