Our indispensable Dr Rob has run the data in the Phase One Nominations Ballot simulation, and compiled the results on detailed spreadsheets. His work illustrates the way the Academy’s tabulation takes place, round by round, to arrive magic numbers for Oscar nominees.
We want to get the raw spreadsheets online ASAP tonight so everyone can begin to hash them out. Some fundamental observations and analysis will come later.
